Become a Member
Like in all Baptist churches, membership is a way to play an active role in the life of the church community.
Becoming a member of BSBC is a way of saying ‘I belong’. It’s an act of commitment to the BSBC family and to the wider church, for however long we journey together.
Membership is a way of showing that you want to take part in the day-to-day life of our church family and to look after each other.
What’s involved?

This means that you have accepted Jesus as your Saviour and recognised that in dying for you on the cross, he has saved you forever from being punished for the wrong things you have done and will do. It means you have committed to live according to the teachings of the Bible and to listen to what God is saying to you.
Nearly all churches have some route to publicly declare your faith journey and if you have already done this, you do not need to do it again. At the Baptist Church, we encourage baptism by full immersion, though occasionally there are good reasons why a declaration of faith might be carried out in an alternate way.

As a church member, you commit yourself to using your gifts and abilities in the life of the church by getting involved in one of our ministries.Join a team →
There’s something for everyone – whether you have lots of time or only an hour, Sunday mornings, midweek, daytime, evenings!

Church members commit to reading the Bible and praying regularly in personal devotional times with God.

Church members attend church meetings four times a year to play an active part in shaping the future of the church. Like in all Baptist churches, members ask questions about and vote on the future direction of the church and its ministry.

Church members give to the Church in many ways including through finance, service and prayer.
